Now Faith………
Now faith is the assurance(title deed, confirmation)of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen-the conviction of their reality. Faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses. (Hebrews 11:1)
The Word of God declares that our faith is like a title deed. It is the proof that what we are believing God for is a done deal. It is guaranteed to come to pass. We may not see it come to fruition yet, but our faith says it is coming to pass. Second Corinthians 5:7 reminds us, “For we walk by faith, not by sight, “meaning we live our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises.
When Jesus died and rose from the dead and later appeared to His disciples, one disciple named Thomas was not present the first time. The other disciples told Thomas that Jesus was alive and had come to them, but Thomas struggled to believe. He doubted that Jesus had truly returned, even though he knew what had happened.
Eight days later, Jesus appeared again while Thomas was with the other disciples. Thomas still had doubts, so Jesus allowed him to see the proof for himself. Jesus said, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing. “Jesus understood Thomas’s struggle and gave him the confirmation he needed. Then Jesus said, “Because you have seen Me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
So, you see, we are blessed because we believe and have faith in God even when we do not see the promise. We walk each day by faith and do not allow what we see to cloud our vision. What God has promised will come to pass.
Allow your faith to become rooted and grounded in God’s Word. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Let the Word of God ignite your faith. Your faith will say, “Amen-so be it. It is already done!’
