BEYOND THE BIBLE
From the time I was a child in school, I always heard the saying, “Reading is Fundamental.” What that means is that reading becomes a building block for our lives. Reading takes us on journeys and educates us in different areas of life. It opens a world of knowledge for us to explore and learn more through reading. I would like to introduce a few books that may interest you-books I have either read or know of that would be an interesting read.
The Heart Behind the Theme: “The Bible is our compass, but it isn’t the only map we have for the journey. “Beyond the Bible creates a space for “seekers and readers”-those who believe that God’s truth is so vast that it overflows into the pages of biography, theology, and even fiction. Each week, we explore books that help us apply ancient truths to our modern lives, moving from knowing the “Word” to living the Word in every corner of our world.
If all truth is God’s truth, and we know that it is, then we can find His fingerprints everywhere-from classic novels to memoirs. We read to sharpen our spiritual eyes so we can see God in the world around us. We use Scripture as our filter for everything. God tells us to test every spirit by His Word to see if it is of Him. We hold fast to what is good and beautiful in what we read.
Join us as we discover treasures of wisdom in the “Wide World of Literature” and bring them back to serve our King. So grab a cup of coffee or tea, and let’s take this reading journey together.

THE POWER OF LEVERAGE: Moving Beyond Linear Effort
-Ronald G. Spence
The Power of Leverage explores how financial systems actually work and explains concepts such as structure, speculation, and working smarter rather than harder. It shows how properly designed effort can continue producing results even after you step away. Written from the perspective of a software engineer and long-time investor, this book approaches money the way engineers treat critical systems-carefully designed, stress-tested, structured, and protected from failure.
