Choosing Faith Over Fear
Life can be uncertain. We often find ourselves wondering what will happen next. But God calls us to live by faith, Not by what we see. Our eyes can only see so far in the natural. We cannot see the next event that will take place in our lives-whether it’s good or bad. We cannot see our future, and we do not have control over the things that happen. God does, if we allow Him to.
God Holds Your Tomorrow
Matthew 6:34
God tells us not to take thought for tomorrow, because tomorrow has enough trouble of its own. So let us live and take one day at a time, trusting God that whatever we face, He is with us. We will not live in fear, but we will live by faith. God knows all about you, and He cares for you. All He wants is for you to trust Him.
He Is Not Like Man
Yes, we’re all used to people letting us down and not coming through for us. But not God. He’s not like man. He does not lie. He does not pretend. He does not dangle before our eyes what we want and then not give it to us just because He has the power not to. What He has promised, He will do. All He wants is that we have faith in Him. I know it is hard when you look at your circumstances and they haven’t changed. It can be difficult to believe that things will ever change when you cannot see a way forward. But God is asking you to trust Him even when you cannot see the outcome.
Give God a Try
Pray and ask Him today for whatever you desire, if it is lined up with His will. He has no problem answering you according to His will and His purpose for your life. And while you wait thank Him for what He has already done and for coming through for you before. Remember, you may not be able to see what tomorrow holds, but God does. So don’t allow fear to control your heart because of what you see today. Put your trust in the One who sees beyond today, beyond your circumstances, and beyond what your eyes can see. For we walk by faith and not by sight.
