Freedom
Walking Daily in the Freedom Christ Gives
Freedom means living untangled from the yoke of bondage. But what is bondage? It is anything that keeps us tied down-habits, thoughts, fears, or past mistakes that we cannot seem to free ourselves from on our own.
The beautiful truth is this: when God sets you free, you are truly free (John 8:36). Yet sometimes, even after being freed, we return to the very things God delivered us from. We allow old thoughts, old hurts, and old patterns to pull us backward.
But freedom in Christ means something greater.
Through Jesus Christ, we are set free from sin and death. Freedom brings liberty, joy, peace, and everlasting life. Jesus paid the price so that we could live fully restored and unchained. Our role is simple but powerful-to walk in that freedom every day.
Freedom is not just a moment; it is a daily choice.
Choose today not to let your mind return to the past. Scripture reminds us in Isaiah 43:18: “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of the past.” God calls us forward, not backward. The past no longer has authority over who you are becoming.
You do not owe your past your attention. You owe your future your faith.
Press forward. Refuse to look back. Trust that God is doing a new thing in your life right now. Do not miss what He is creating because you are focused on what has already passed.
The best is truly yet to come.
Today, hear this encouragement from God’s heart:
You are free. Walk in it. Live in it. Believe it.
Reflection
What thoughts or situations has God already freed you from that you need to release again today?
Speak with your heavenly Father and ask Him to strengthen you along this journey. Trust that He has already set you free and that He will give you the strength to continue. Scripture reminds us, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” (John 8:36) Amen.
