If God is For You, Who Can Be Against You?

Romans 8:32-39

Paul tell us in verse 32 that if God did not withhold His only begotten Son, but freely have Him up to die for us-while we were still in sin-what more will He freely give unto us? Is there anything that we ask God for, according to His will, that we would not receive? Absolutely not.

Who can bring a charge against those whom God has chosen? God is the one who justifies us. He has made us righteous through the shedding of the blood of Jesus. We are in right standing with Him. Who can accuse us or tell God, in other words, not to choose us, to impeach us, discredit us, or get God to change His mind about us? Would God do that? Since He is the One who acquits us from guilt and condemnation, when we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are free from the penalty of death. Jesus paid the ultimate price for our freedom by dying on the cross.

Who then is the one who condemns? Romans 8:1 tells us, “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” God did not send Jesus to condemn us, but to save us. He sits at the right hand of the Father, making intercession for each one of us.

Who will separate You from the love of God? The love declared in John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” This is the agape love of God.

Can anything change God’s mind about you? Will you walk away from God because you are afflicted, sick, broke, suffering or going through trials and tests? Will you give up because it is too hard to face trouble? What about calamity? What about what we all experienced during the pandemic or illness? will you allow those things to separate you from God? Will you blame God?

Now is not the time to throw in the towel.

We face many trials and tests all day long for the sake of Christ when we serve Him. We may be a target for the enemy. There is nothing that He does against us that will prosper. God has given us the power and authority over everything that the enemy brings our way. We are more than a conqueror through Jesus. People may come against us and try to destroy us, but it will not work. We are designed by God to withstand every trial and test that comes our way.

But regardless of the tactics of the enemy and how hard they try, we are not just conquerors-we are more than conquerors. We win the battle every time because God lives in us and has given us power over the enemy.

Paul said, “I have no doubt in my heart that whether I live or die, nothing will be able to separate me from the love of God.” He said, “I am persuaded.” I have a strong belief that neither things present nor things to come, neither threats nor powers, neither the present not the future,-nothing in all creation can ever stop God from loving you or stop you from loving God, as long as you are in Christ Jesus.

No separation.

Let us remember: What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for you, Who can be against you? Stand firm, serve Him faithfully, hold fast to your faith, and never let go-you are always victorious in Him.”
