WHAT ARE YOU WORRYING ABOUT?
Philippians 4:6 tells us not to worry or be anxious about anything. Stop worrying about the outcome of a situation. When we worry, it causes us to suffer mental distress. Fear enters our minds, and we begin to waver in our faith.
Instead, we must pray and seek God about everything earnestly. We should petition God and thank Him for working out the situation. God has never failed us, and He will never fail. Let God know what you need Him to do.
1 Peter 5:7 says to cast all your cares upon Him, because He cares for you. When we do this, God’s peace will overshadow our minds and hearts through Christ Jesus.
We must protect our minds, because the battle is in the mind. As Philippians 4:8 teaches, whatever things are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and of good report-if there is any virtue and anything praiseworthy-think and meditate on these things.
Think about the things that stir your faith, strengthen you, and encourage you. This will help keep your mind stable. God knows that the enemy attacks us in our minds, and that is where the battle rages. But if you focus on what God’s Word says, you will be victorious in your walk with Him.
Do not allow your thoughts to become like a runaway train and get derailed. Instead, you will stay focused on what is good, pure, true, and honest-all the good that is found in the Word of God.
We are not living in denial about what we are facing. We are walking by faith and not by sight. Instead of complaining, we choose to praise. Put a praise on it!
As 2 Corinthians 10:5 says, take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. You can control what you think. Our thoughts can cause us to live defeated every day if we are not careful.
Pay attention to what you are thinking. Joyce Meyer once said, “Stop the stinking thinking”.
Sometimes people may speak negative things to you that go against God’s Word. You must take those arguments captive and bring them into the obedience to God. You can ask God to help to retrain your thoughts so they line up with His Word.
Allow the Word of God to dismantle negative thoughts and take them captive so that you may walk with a transformed mind. As Romans 12:2 says, do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
There is no need to worry or fear. God has everything in control.
“Be encouraged today. No matter what you are facing, God is with you and He is working things out for your good. Do not allow worry or fear to take control of your mind. Stand firm in faith, trust in God’s promises, and keep your thoughts focused on His Word. The same God who has brought you through before will bring you through again. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep praising. Victory belongs to the Lord”.
Amen! So be it!
