It’s Never Too Late
“It’s Never Too Late”
“Keep Going. Trust God.
Sometimes in life, we may feel as though it’s too late to pursue our dreams. We tell ourselves, “I’m too old,” or I’ve missed my chance.” We may wonder who will support us at this stage, or question why it took so long to discover our purpose.
Discouragement can creep in when we feel alone-when there’s no one to cheer us on our remind us of what we’re capable of. But the Bible reminds us that David encouraged himself in the Lord (1 Samuel 30:6). Even in moments of despair, when he felt abandoned, God was alway with him-just as He promises to never leave nor forsake us.
The journey toward our dreams doesn’t always happen overnight. Sometimes it takes years. I know this personally. After starting and stopping college several times, I made the decision in my 40’s to go back to school. By God’s grace, I earned my degree Associate in Science. Now, in my 60s, I’m still pressing forward with a desire to pursue my bachelor’s degree.
It took time-but I got there.
That’s the point: it may take time, but don’t stop.
There were moments I wanted to give up. Times when things felt difficult and overwhelming. But I learned to pause, take a breath, and encourage myself: You can do this.” And with that mindset-and God’s strength-I kept moving forward until I reached my goal.
The Word reminds us: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
Age does not disqualify you from your destiny. Whether you’re in your 40s, 50s, 60s, or beyond, you still have purpose. You can go back to school, write that book, start that business, or pursue whatever God has placed in your heart.
Even if your accomplishment is simply a degree hanging on your wall, it becomes your testimony. Your children, grandchildren, and others will see it and be inspired: “If they did it, so can I.”
Your perseverance becomes someone else’s motivation.
So keep going. Even if no one is cheering you on, encourage yourself. You know what God has called you to do.
It is never too late.
Prayer
Lord God,
In the name of Jesus. I lift up those who feel discouraged, lost, or ready to give up. Strengthen their hearts and minds today. Guide them in the direction You have for their lives. When confusion arises, bring clarity. When doors seem closed, make a way. Help them to seek You first in all they do.
Remind them that they are never alone and that through You, all things are possible.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Final Encouragement:
Keep pushing forward. Don’t stop. Age is just a number. With God, you can do it-and you will.
