This is the Day the Lord Has Made
“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”-Psalm 118-24
There are times in life when we all go through difficulties. In those moments, it is such a blessing to know God and to put our trust in Him. We cannot place all of our trust in man, because people sometimes fail. Their words may fail. We may depend on them, and they may disappoint us. But when we put our trust in God, He always comes through for us.
Yes, sometimes life becomes difficult. It may become hard, and there may even be moments when you feel as if God is not there. But He is always there. He is standing by your side. He promised that He would never leave you nor forsake you.
It does not matter what you are facing today. It does not matter what you are going through. It does not matter how difficult the situation may look. Know without a shadow of a doubt that this is the day that the Lord has made. He said, “Rejoice and be glad in it.”
That lets me know and understand that God has already taken care of everything that concerns you. His Word says, “I will perfect that which concerns you.” If He tells us to rejoice, then that means He already has control of our day.
So this morning, if you woke up feeling a little down…if you woke up thinking that today may be worse than yesterday because of what you are going through, know with certainty that God has already spoken over your day. He already told you to rejoice and be glad because He has already taken care of it.
Sometimes we do not even realize that the very thing we struggled with yesterday may already be fixed today. Sometimes we jump to conclusions and expect the worst, when God is already working things out in our favor.
Wake up with the mindset that you are going to have an awesome and beautiful day because God said so.
And if you feel as if you are alone in what you are going through, remember this: you are not alone. God is with you.
This is the day that the Lord has made for you. Rejoice and be glad in it.
